Public gatherings are increasingly held in the Philadelphia region. You can stay informed of these meetings by following the meetup links below. All public activities are on hold due to the coronavirus.
Main Line Public Devotional
The Baha'is of Lower Merion Township host a public devotional gathering every Sunday morning at 10am at "Common Space" in Ardmore. Everyone is welcome to attend. There is usually coffee and a small play space for younger children at the back of the room. The setting is "living room informal" and welcoming. Various passages from the Baha'i Writings and other scriptures are read and discussed. Picture links to the meetup invite for this activity.
"Meaningful Conversations" Library Series
"Meaningful Conversations" is a series of public discussions at the Luddington Library in Bryn Mawr. Though it is sponsored by the Baha'i community, it is not specifically about the Baha'i Faith and a wide range of topics are addressed. You can meet Bahai's there to find out about other activities. Children's Classes and other Core Activities
Baha'is all over the world engage in the "core" activities of community life- children's classes, junior youth and youth groups, study circles for adults, and devotional gatherings. These are often held in people's homes or nearby public spaces, even parks. They are open to the wider community and are not just for Baha'is. Inquire with Baha'is about these activities and we can help you get connected.
Philadelphia Baha'i Center
The Philadelphia Baha'i Center is the regional gathering spot for Baha'is in the area. It hosts a variety of public and non-public activities that will be advertised on Sifterofdust when appropriate. The Center is located at 2462 Bryn Mawr Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19131. It is on the Philadelphia side of City Line Avenue, near St Joe's University in the Wynnefield section of Philadelphia.
